Zuppdate helps organisers share live event information through a single link. Guests can view schedules, locations, changes and other event information without creating an account.

We have designed Zuppdate to minimise the information guests need to provide and to reduce the risks associated with opening an unfamiliar event link.

What Happens When You Open a Zuppdate Event Link?

Opening a Zuppdate event link is designed simply to display information about an event.

You do not need to create an account or sign in to view an event.

Zuppdate does not require your Google account, Google password, email password, OTP, banking password or other account credentials simply to view an event page.

Opening an event page does not, by itself, give Zuppdate access to your Google account, email account or other accounts on your device.

If you receive an account security alert from Google or another service around the same time that you visit Zuppdate, you should review that alert directly through the relevant service's official account or security settings.

Recognising an Official Zuppdate Link

Official Zuppdate event pages are hosted on: zuppdate.com

Before opening a link claiming to be from Zuppdate, check the domain carefully.

A page that imitates Zuppdate but is hosted on another domain is not a Zuppdate event page.

Secure Connections

Zuppdate uses HTTPS/TLS to protect information transmitted between your device and our website.

When you visit Zuppdate, this encrypted connection helps protect information exchanged between your browser and our systems while it is in transit.

HTTPS does not mean that everything published by an event organiser has been independently verified by Zuppdate. Event information remains the responsibility of the organiser who publishes it.

No Login Required for Guests

You can browse Zuppdate event pages without creating an account.

We intentionally separate viewing an event from managing an event.

Authentication is required only for functionality where Zuppdate needs to identify and authorise a user, such as creating or managing an event.

Google Sign-In for Organisers

Where authentication is required, Zuppdate supports Google Sign-In.

Your Google password is not provided to Zuppdate.

Google authenticates your account and provides Zuppdate with the information permitted through the sign-in process, which may include basic account information such as your name and email address.

Simply opening a public Zuppdate event link does not require Google Sign-In.

Event Creator Access

Event-management functionality is restricted to authorised event creators.

Guests viewing an event page cannot use that public link to edit or delete the event.

This separation helps protect event information against unauthorised modification.

External Links

An organiser may occasionally include a link to another website as part of their event information.

External websites are separate from Zuppdate and may have their own security, privacy and data-collection practices.

Where Zuppdate identifies a link as external, you should check the destination before providing personal information or completing transactions on that website.

Zuppdate will never require your password or OTP simply to view an event.

Event Content

Information displayed on an event page may be created and updated by the event organiser.

Zuppdate provides the platform through which that information is displayed, but the presence of information on Zuppdate should not by itself be interpreted as Zuppdate independently verifying every statement, person, organisation, venue or activity associated with an event.

If something displayed on an event page appears suspicious, misleading or inappropriate, please report it to us.

Event Data Doesn't Stay Forever

Zuppdate is designed for information that is useful while an event is happening, not as a permanent archive of people's events.

Event creators can permanently delete their event information at any time, including while an event is underway.

If the organiser does not delete the event manually, Zuppdate automatically permanently deletes the event and its associated event data 48 hours after the event concludes.

The 48-hour period allows guests who may still need the event link shortly after the event to access relevant information.

After that period, the event information is permanently removed from Zuppdate.

Certain organiser account information, such as the organiser's email address and mobile number, may be retained separately from the deleted event data for account, service and legitimate operational purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

Data Minimisation

"We believe the safest information to hold unnecessarily is information we don't collect in the first place."

Zuppdate is therefore designed to collect only the information reasonably required to provide its functionality.

In particular, guests are not required to create an account merely to view publicly accessible event information.

Infrastructure & Access

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the systems supporting Zuppdate against unauthorised access, alteration and misuse.

Access to application and data-management systems is restricted to authorised systems and personnel where access is necessary.

We also maintain and review our systems to identify security, reliability and availability issues.

What Zuppdate Will Not Ask For Just to View an Event

You should not need to provide any of the following simply to open and view a Zuppdate event page:

• Your Google or email password
• An OTP for your Google or email account
• Your banking password or PIN
• Your card PIN
• Access to your Google account
• Installation of an application or software

If something claiming to be Zuppdate unexpectedly asks for sensitive credentials merely to view an event, do not provide them and contact us.

Be Careful With Information Outside Zuppdate

An event organiser may provide contact details, external websites or other resources as part of an event.

Before sharing sensitive information, making a payment or entering credentials on another website, make sure you understand who you are interacting with.

Zuppdate cannot guarantee the security or authenticity of websites and services operated by third parties.

Found Something Suspicious?

If you receive a suspicious Zuppdate link, encounter an event that appears fraudulent, notice an unusual external link, or believe you have discovered a security vulnerability, please tell us.
